About Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti wrinkle injections are a fantastic treatment for reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the face.

They can be used on a number of concerns like; forehead wrinkles, eleven lines (between the eyebrows), frown lines and crow’s feet. They can also be used to lift the eyebrows in a non surgical brow lift.

Anti wrinkle injections work by targeting the muscles in the face that cause the appearance of wrinkles and relaxing them so that the surface of the skin appears smoothed and line free.

Anti-wrinkle injections, also known as botulinum toxin injections or Botox injections, are a popular cosmetic procedure used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face. The primary substance used in these injections is botulinum toxin type A, which is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

When injected into specific muscles of the face, botulinum toxin works by blocking the nerve signals that cause those muscles to contract. By temporarily paralyzing these muscles, the skin above them becomes smoother, and the appearance of wrinkles and lines is diminished. It is important to note that the effects are temporary, usually lasting for about 3 to 6 months, after which the procedure may need to be repeated to maintain the results.

The procedure is generally quick and straightforward, often taking only a few minutes to perform. A fine needle is used to inject small amounts of the botulinum toxin into targeted areas of the face. Common areas treated include the forehead, between the eyebrows (glabellar lines), and the corners of the eyes (crow’s feet).
